Abstract/Description: The goal of this study was to develop a valid and reliable questionnaire to assess pre-service teachers' beliefs about how to handle student mistakes, specifically examining its factor structure, test-retest reliability, concurrent validity, and exploring possible relationships between certain teacher characteristics and scores on the Mistake-Handling Questionnaire. Data from 328 students enrolled in at least one of the following required teacher education courses in the teacher education track were used: Educational Psychology, Classroom Assessment, and Introduction to Educational Technology. A reliable one factor structure representing a pro-incorporating mistakes perspective was found.
