Three prisoners are seen writing letters near a large pile of human bones. Captain Herp captioned the photograph "Pile of human bones. The story I got from this was that SS guards would just pick up a handful of ashes, put it in an envelope and mail it to next of kin of persons cremated and charge the person it was sent to 10 marks." |
