It was felt that by means of such an examination some conclusions could be drawn about characteristics which influence an aged person's choice of residence in a home for the aged. Fifty-eight applicants were selected for the purpose of examining these characteristics, a sample which consisted of twenty-eight aged persons who requested admission, but withdrew their applications during the application process and thirty people who were admitted as residents of the Home"--Introduction.
